Description of sound and form
The sound of a quarter dropping is a fascinating sound. It starts off with a percussive knock as it bounces on the table. Then, the coin spins and tilts faster and faster, causing its oscillations and pitch to increase. There were many possibilities of how to use this sound to create a new image. The percussive hit with low frequencies highlighted represents a ticking clock. The stretched out sound supplied a backing track for the other sounds to stand out. The piece ends with the "clock" slowing down to a halt, showing that time has been stopped.

The use of different affects, such as sliding pitch shift, EQ, fade out, reverse, and tempo change can help bend sound into a different image than what it is first perceived as.
